Etiquette Certification: What You Need to Know About Our Curriculum and Lesson Plans

Earlier this week, we provided more details for a new licensee.  She asked really good questions and I would like share my answers.

1. Is the curriculum provided as kits?
The curriculum is not in a “kit” form. It is much more flexible and one of the greatest benefits of Manners To Go. The curriculum is sent via electronic download.  You will then be able to pick and choose the modules and customize the curriculum according to your needs.

You decide upon the modules needed for each class and print activity books accordingly.
Lesson plan introductions

For example, a Girl Scout troop may want a program to earn a badge.  You will customize the modules/activity books to meet their badge requirement.

An after school program might be 8 weeks. You will tailor the program to meet the demand of the particular class being taught.  A parent might request special attention be paid to eye contact and basic social skills. You will take the modules and create activity books specific to their needs.

A High School may request a program centered around “career day”.  You will have all the necessary materials to provide this content according to the needs of the students.

2. What have you seen as the most beneficial topics for the children?
As you know, when you teach children good manners, you equip them with valuable skills to become happy, healthy and well-adjusted adults.

While teaching Manners To Go over the years, I have seen children transform and benefit most from the lessons on eye contact and table manners.  Their confidence level increases when they learn social skills.  I have seen an immediate difference after one session of Manners To Go.  Parents and teachers notice it in their behaviors too.
